  • Annual Goals on track and sales and cash guidance re-confirmed

  • Three Key Events expected in next twelve months

Biocompatibles International plc (LSE:BII), a medical technology company focused on drug-device combination products principally for use in oncology today held its Annual General Meeting.

The Chairman, Gerry Brown, made the following comments:

"The business continues to make good progress. 

The Board re-confirms the sales and cash guidance last updated on 25 May 2007 and is optimistic that the Company's principal Annual Goals will be achieved. 

Recruitment is complete at 213 patients, in the Phase IIb European randomised controlled trial in HCC - PRECISION V.

Three key events are expected over the next twelve months:

  • Announcement of updated survival data from the Italian trial of Biocompatibles' Drug-Eluting Bead in the treatment of liver metastases (September 2007);
  • US launch of Medtronic's Endeavor® drug-eluting stent (expected by Medtronic Q4 2007); and the
  • Presentation of data from PRECISION V (Q2 2008)."

All the resolutions placed before shareholders were passed.  A summary of the proxy voting will be published on the Company's website.
