Completion of the Acquisition of BrachySciences

Biocompatibles (LSE:BII) is pleased to announce that the proposed acquisition of BrachySciences, Inc and its affiliated companies as announced on 25 July 2008 was completed on 1st August 2008.
BrachySciences is a medical device business located in Oxford, Connecticut, USA, principally marketing implantable “seeds” that deliver radiation for the treatment of prostate cancer, a treatment known as brachytherapy.
