As ESMO gives a new direction to the scientific and educational meeting previously known as ESEC, I am proud to announce the ESMO Conference Lugano, July 2007.
The first two days of the conference will be dedicated to experienced oncologists, where participants will be given the latest 'state-of-the-art' in the major tumor types and perspectives in future development. Each conference will also include a session on a specific topic, which in 2007 is the important issue of cancer prevention. The second part of the program will include an interactive Academy of Oncology, designed particularly to cater for young oncologists and addressing topics of significant importance for those at the beginning of their careers.
With the generous collaboration of the City of Lugano I welcome all of you to the beautiful home town of ESMO. At the ESMO Conference Lugano you will have the possibility to both update your knowledge in oncology and to meet the officers and staff of ESMO.
