Abstract Submissions: 18 July 2007 - 1 October 2007
We invite you to make history by joining us for the 20th anniversary edition of the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy (ISET). This exciting milestone year marks an important opportunity for all of us who belong to the multidisciplinary endovascular community.
As the meeting that pioneered the live case demonstration, ISET holds a unique position. From its very inception, ISET has reached out to practitioners to provide an exciting, interactive learning experience. From the humble beginnings of a small cadre of forward-thinking physicians huddled around a procedure-room window, ISET has grown into a dynamic gathering of doctors and scientists who learn collaboratively via live cases, interactive polling, poster presentations and abstract publication, as well as expert lectures, lively debates and panel discussions. The result is the country’s most prominent meeting to draw upon the collective intelligence of our diverse professional community.
ISET’s history confirms the value of assembling annually to examine the latest science, technology, techniques and approaches. In 2008 we will celebrate that history with a look at how far we as a multidisciplinary group of specialists have come. (Remember when laser angioplasty was all the rage? Recall the skeptical reactions to the first endografts?) More importantly, however, we will look ahead to the future.
One way in which we will try to forecast the imminent direction of our field is through a new collaboration with the annual London-based Charing Cross meeting. In a special session at ISET, attendees will be part of the first concerted effort to build “transatlantic consensus.” Through the use of real-time polling, you will have an opportunity to weigh in on significant, even universal issues that affect all of us, regardless of where we practice. Results will be tabulated and compared with those collected at the Charing Cross Symposium.
Take a look here to see what we have planned and how you might join us in making history at ISET 2008. We hope to see you January 20-24 in sunny South Florida.
Sincerely,
Course Directors
