Jakub Wiskirchen, MD, Gunnar Tepe, MD, and Philippe L. Pereira, MD
Department for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology University Hospital Tübingen, Germany
Patient History
Male patient (53 y, HCV positive) with a well circumscribed, hypervascular HCC in the right lobe in liver MR (Fig 1). • Angiography with a 4Fr C2 Cobra™ (Cook®) catheter (Fig 2) confirmed the presence of a hypervascular lesion.

Procedure
After applying 2ml DC Bead™ (Biocompatibles) and 50mg epirubicin (Pfizer) to the tumour and the surrounding tissue via a 2.7Fr microcatheter system (Progreat™, Terumo®) the tumour did not opacify (Figs 3 and 4).

Outcome
A control CT scan, obtained one day after PRECISION TACE confirmed the embolisation of the tumour. The air bubbles within the tumour are regular findings following embolisation with DC Bead™ and do not represent a complication (Figs 5 and 6).
